Lymphedema Seminars is looking for locations to host our upcoming seminars. There is very little cost for the hosting facility other than providing the room and AV equipment. The details are below.
What days are the seminars held? We have a Friday afternoon presentation or workshop prior to our Evening Reception, Exhibitor Demonstrations and Registration. Then we work all day Saturday and we end before lunch on Sunday morning.
What are the expectations for the hospital in addition to providing the space? The hospital provides a liaison for us to work with to make the room arrangements, AV equipment, catering, etc.
What are the room requirements? The room needs to hold between 40-50 people in classroom seating, along with the usual presentation equipment, such as PowerPoint projector, screen, microphone, etc. We prefer to have the Exhibitors in the same room, around the perimeter or in the back, but that depends on the space at the facility. If this is not possible, they can be in an adjoining lobby near the presentations.
Do you give out CEUs or CMEs? Lymphedema Seminars gives Certificates of Completion and gets approval for PT and OT CEUs for those who want to submit them for continuing education credits. If the hospital can provide CMEs, all the better! As soon as the date is confirmed, we can confirm the speakers and provide your hospital with the info needed for the CMEs.
Who covers the cost of food? Lymphedema Seminars provides a Friday night Wine & Hors D'oeuvres Reception, Breakfasts both Sat & Sun, a Buffet Lunch on Saturday and late afternoon snacks, all of which need to be catered. We make all these arrangements ourselves from local recommendations or work with your facility if they prefer we use their caterers.
Is there a discount for employees? Two of your hospital staff may attend for free and we give a discount for more staff after the first two (which we encourage).
